In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s easy to lose sight of the blessings that God bestows upon us each day. We often find ourselves so engrossed in our needs and wants, so focused on what we lack, that we forget to pause and express gratitude for what we already have.
There was a time when we had less, living from paycheck to paycheck, seemingly devoid of God’s presence. But was He truly absent? Or were we simply oblivious to His subtle workings in our lives?
Each morning, we wake up to the gift of life, a miracle in itself. The ability to walk, to talk, to interact with the world around us – aren’t these blessings from above? The shelter that we have, which not only covers us but also shields us from the harsh realities of the world – isn’t this a testament to His provision?
In our moments of forgetfulness, we fail to remember His promises, His covenants. But God, in His infinite faithfulness, never forgets. When He makes a covenant, He sees it through to fulfillment.
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits…”—Psalm 103:2
When we forget the faithfulness of God, we appear ungrateful — not because He stopped providing, but because we stopped noticing.
“Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God…”—Deuteronomy 8:11
Let this be your reminder: God hasn’t forgotten you — so don’t forget Him.
