Me, the simple dirt, that You made into a person…
Me, the dust of the ground that You chose to glorify.
I’m not too proud — I give You thanks.
A simple phrase, but it carries the weight of a life transformed.
Our thanks will never be enough for the Almighty, but it is cherished when it comes from a humble heart — one that recognizes God’s enormity and bows in reverence to His sovereignty.
“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life…”— Genesis 2:7
I don’t claim to know much about God. But I trust Him.
Because before I was formed, He knew me.
He called me His own. He called me “the apple of His eye.”
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”— Jeremiah 1:5
“Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings.” — Psalm 17:8
Before I became a child, He saw my destiny.
He shaped it with love and intention.
Glory be to the One who created me!
My praise will never be enough.
My worship is more than a song — it is my life, my surrender, my offering.
He loves me more than I deserve, and far beyond what I can comprehend.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”— Lamentations 3:22–23
And yet, in His infinite wisdom and boundless love,
He continues to guide me…
To mold me…
To shape this simple dirt into a vessel of grace.
He breathes life into me daily — not just breath, but purpose.
He transforms the fragile into the faithful.
He turns brokenness into beauty.
“We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”— 2 Corinthians 4:7
Every day I am reminded of His mercy.
Of His patience. Of His unfailing love.
I am but a speck in the grand story of His creation —
Yet He knows me intimately,
Cares for me deeply,
And loves me unconditionally.
“What is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them?”— Psalm 8:4
I am simple dirt…
Yet in His hands, I am so much more.
I am His.
And He is mine.
Forever and always.
