Every day, God quietly reminds us that He hears our prayers — and He answers them. For the “Doubting Thomas” among us, that truth may be hard to grasp. But for the “Faithful Ruth,” it hits home in the most intimate way. Every breath, every sunrise, every small mercy we often overlook is proof that God still listens, still cares, and still moves.
We tend to measure answered prayers by the big moments — the breakthrough, the promotion, the healing, the “yes.” But the truth is, life itself is an ongoing answer. Waking up each morning is mercy renewed. “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23
So, when that specific prayer seems unanswered, remember: silence does not mean neglect. Delay does not mean denial. God’s timing is not human timing. As 2 Peter 3:8–9 reminds us, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise… but is patient with you.”
God is both Author and Finisher — the One who begins, sustains, and perfects every good work (Hebrews 12:2). Everything He does is done in perfect time, in perfect wisdom, and in perfect love. Even creation itself reminds us of this: “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.” — Genesis 1:31
And if He was pleased with His creation, remember — you were part of that. “So God created mankind in his own image…” (Genesis 1:27). You were shaped in His likeness, loved from the beginning, and never forgotten in His design.
So when it feels like heaven is quiet, take heart: the same God who breathed life into you is still working behind the scenes. The prayer you whispered hasn’t been lost; it’s being woven into His perfect plan.
He hears you.
He’s not finished with you.
And in His time — He will make all things beautiful. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
